FAQs
Who is eligible for the GitBook Startups Program?
To qualify, your startup must have been founded less than 2 years ago, raised no more than $2M USD in total funding, and not be on any of GitBook’s paid plans. If you meet all three criteria, you can apply directly on the page.
What do I get with the program, and how long does it last?
You get 6 months of free access to GitBook’s full platform, dedicated support (bypassing the standard queue), a documentation playbook with practical guides for structuring developer docs, APIs, and internal knowledge bases, and a startup spotlight to help amplify your story to developer audiences.
What happens after the 6 months of free access?
The program gives you a strong foundation to scale your documentation from day one. After the free period, you can transition to one of GitBook’s paid plans. The goal is that by then, your docs will already be set up for growth — so the investment pays for itself as your team, users, and investor conversations evolve.
